RFK is making serious waves by speaking out on January 6th. He declared that the event was nothing more than a protest turned into riot, which in turn led to serious persecution by Biden’s DOJ.

The event has served as a major talking point for Democrats, who claim it was an organized plot meant to overthrow the Republic. No evidence has been found that the event was planned as a way to overthrow the government. Key among this was that no one in the crowd attempted to use a firearm. CNN says:

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Friday raised the possibility that the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol was not a “true insurrection” and expressed concern about the “weaponization of government” against those charged with crimes in connection to the riot.

“It is quite clear that many of the January 6 protestors broke the law in what may have started as a protest but turned into a riot. Because it happened with the encouragement of President Trump, and in the context of his delusion that the election was stolen from him, many people see it not as a riot but as an insurrection,” he said in a statement.

The following manhunts completely reoriented federal agents against Trump supporters. Many rioters who simply crossed the police line received stiff penalties. Their carceral conditions were also highly abusive within Washington DC itself. Fox News says:

Kennedy said that though he opposes Trump “and all he stands for,” he is still “disturbed by the weaponization of government against him.”

“As President, I will appoint a special counsel — an individual respected by all sides — to investigate whether prosecutorial discretion was abused for political ends in this case, and I will right any wrongs that we discover,” Kennedy said. “Without the impartial rule of law, there is no true democracy or moral governance.”

In the summer of 2020, Leftist rioters were not punished for their rampage. Unlike January 6th, dozens of Americans were killed by them, and entire city blocks were burned down.
