Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas, has declared Texas to be under invasion. Criticizing the willful failures of the federal government under Joe Biden, Abbott has called out the National Guard.

Other states have already volunteered their national guards to help Texas. Democrats have called for Joe Biden to federalize the Texas National Guards to leave Texas open to invasion.

As Texas Gov. Greg Abbott continues to tout the state’s right to self-defend itself from a migrant invasion, some Democratic lawmakers are calling on President Biden to take control of the state’s National Guard.

Abbott issued a lengthy statement Wednesday, saying the federal government broke the compact between the U.S. and the individual states.

Abbott’s full statement was published on X.

The Supreme Court has currently ruled in favor of Biden’s neutered Border Patrol to dismantle the border wire. The Border Patrol union and the rank and file have been livid with the decision. The Daily Caller says:

The Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision Monday, agreed to vacate an injunctionthat temporarily blocked Border Patrol from cutting wire Texas had placed along the border. Texas authorities appeared to ignore the ruling, with a video circulating on social media showing authoritiessetting up razor wire for the border in Eagle Pass, Texas.

The case made its way to the high court after the Biden Administration sued.

This is a major constitutional crisis reminiscent of the 1960s. Even if Biden forces the Texas National Guard to stand down, Texas can still mobilize its state police and state defense force. It could also take the unprecedented step of conscripting citizens for militia service.
