ISIS Connected Illegals on the Loose in America

The Department of Homeland Security is scrambling to find loose over 50 individuals inside the US borders. The smuggling network has been moving all manners of individuals inside the United States, some of which have been suspected of terrorism.

Over 400 individuals connected to this network are suspected of being inside the United States, with 50 still unaccounted for. While they might not be terrorists, DHS is still expediting their removal. CNN reports:

The Department of Homeland Security has identified more than 400 migrants who came to the US via a human smuggling network that may have some connection with ISIS, prompting an additional review of those individuals, according to two US officials.

The purpose of the network was to smuggle people, not bring in terrorists, one of the officials said. But it is the same network that brought eight Tajik nationals, who were arrested earlier this month after officials discovered that they had some specific and troubling connections to the terror group.

This is a huge issue for the Department of Homeland Security, whose entire purpose was to prevent another 9/11 style attack to happen again. The NY Post continues:

It’s unknown how many of the Tajik migrants were released into the US, but the vast majority of migrants caught at the border claim asylum and are allowed to stay while they await a court hearing.

ISIS-K was responsible for a massive attack on a concert hall in Moscow — carried out by citizens of Tajikistan — that killed 145 people and wounded hundreds more on March 22.

The rise of ISIS-K happened in the vacuum of America retreating from Afghanistan, which was not accompanied by a strengthening of the border. Now, America is left vulnerable while DHS has to clean up the mess imposed by the Biden Administration.
