Biden is calling in all favors he has, reassuring top Democrats as best he can that he can still run in November.

In a call to Democrat governors, Biden has said that he will reduce his workload to prevent another poor showing. Key among this is fewer events after 8pm, when he is at his most vulnerable. NY Times says:

President Biden told a gathering of Democratic governors that he needs to get more sleep and work fewer hours, including curtailing events after 8 p.m., according to two people who participated in the meeting and several others briefed on his comments.

The remarks on Wednesday were a stark acknowledgment of fatigue from the 81-year-old president during a meeting intended to reassure more than two dozen of his most important supporters that he is still in command of his job and capable of mounting a robust campaign against former President Donald J. Trump.

Joe Biden also admitted that he saw a doctor following the debate, and that he had “screwed up”. If he refuses to have another debate with Trump, this will simply sink his campaign. The Hill reports:

Asked whether he’d received medical care after the debate, he told the assembled governors he was checked out by a doctor and that everything was fine, according to two sources familiar with the exchange. A few hours earlier, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that Biden hadn’t undergone any medical exams since February when he last received a thorough physical and took several tests.

Politico first reported Biden’s comments, which come as the president seeks to shore up supporters on the left amid concerns about his ability to do his job — and defeat Donald Trump in November.

If Biden stays in control of the campaign, he will owe a lot to his Democrat allies, who will in turn push their pet agendas on him. America can either choose to elect Trump with a clear agenda, or the “Democrat Party” which could mean anyone at the helm of the nation.
