Bernie Sanders has been questioned about Kamala Harris’ record, both in the Senate and during her Vice-Presidency.
Harris, who has been identified as the most liberal Senator during her time in office, shared many programs in common with Bernie Sanders. Rather than be honest like he is, however, she has been hiding her true beliefs. The Hill says:
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said Sunday he still considers Vice President Harris “progressive” despite her recent policy shift to the center on some issues.
“I do,” Sanders said on NBC News’s “Meet the Press” when asked whether he still considers Harris progressive.
When questioned about whether she was abandoning her ideas, Sanders simply said that she was doing what was needed to win. Fox News says:
”She has previously supported Medicare-For-All, now she does not. She’s previously supported a ban on fracking, now she does not. These, senator, are ideas that you have campaigned on. Do you think she is abandoning her progressive ideals?” NBC anchor Kristen Welker asked Sanders on “Meet the Press.”
”No, I don’t think she’s abandoning her ideals,” he replied. “I think she’s trying to be pragmatic and doing what she thinks is right in order to win the election.”
This tactical deception can be nothing other than that. Like Biden, Kamala is hiding her ideas and portraying herself as a moderate to win. Once in office, she will revert to her previous positions.
