Chinese Spy Was Close to Dem Governor

A close aid to the New York Democrat Governor, Kathy Hochul, was arrested for spying for the government of China. Acting on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party, Linda Sun allegedly committed visa fraud, laundered money, and smuggled illegals into the country.

Sun was working for the Governor’s office before she was fired. Her standard corruption case slowly revealed deep ties to a hostile foreign power, embedded very close to a powerful American politician. Fox News reports:

Authorities arrested both Linda Sun, 40, and her husband, Chris Hu, 41, in Tuesday’s action. Sun is charged with violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, visa fraud, alien smuggling, and money laundering conspiracy. She is alleged to have acted on behalf of the government of China and the Chinese Communist Party. Huchul fired Sun last year after her office discovered evidence of misconduct.

“This individual was hired by the Executive Chamber more than a decade ago. We terminated her employment in March 2023 after discovering evidence of misconduct, immediately reported her actions to law enforcement, and have assisted law enforcement throughout this process,” Hochul’s office said in a statement.

This is not the first time that Chinese agents have been infiltrated close to Democrat politicians. Representative Swalwell and Diane Feinstein of California both also had Chinese spies in their entourage. The NY Post says:

She boasted about her successful efforts in messages to Chinese officials that often revealed behind-the-scenes tellings of how decisions were made by the governor’s office, the indictment contends.

“I almost had a heart attack when we referred to Taiwan as a country,” she texted one Chinese official about an October 2020 press release, the indictment states. “Thankfully I had the press team correct it immediately.”

The American government is riddled with Communists, and will continue to be so long as Democrats refuse to see who America’s enemies are.
