The last words of the man who was murdered at the Trump Rally on July 13th were revealed. Corey Comperatore, 50, was a firefighter and active member of his community. According to his wife, his final act was to yell “get down”, before shielding his family with his body.

Comperatore, an avid Trump supporter, was shot in the head by Trump’s attempted assassin. Two others, David Dutch and James Copenhaver, were also shot but are expected to survive. Fox News reports:

The volunteer firefighter who died while shielding his family from the sniper who tried to kill former President Trump over the weekend at a rally in Pennsylvania said “get down!” as his final words, his wife has revealed.

Helen Comperatore told the New York Post that she and her husband Corey were close to celebrating their 29th wedding anniversary when their family headed to the campaign event in Butler, outside of Pittsburgh, on Saturday.

His wife Helen Comperatore told reporters that she refused a call from President Biden in honor of her husband. NY Post says:

The heartbroken widow of Corey Comperatore, the hero firefighter shot dead by a sniper at a Donald Trump rally, wanted nothing to do with President Biden when he called after the tragedy, she told The Post.

“I didn’t talk to Biden,” Helen Comperatore said from her Pennsylvania home Monday. “I didn’t want to talk to him. My husband was a devout Republican and he would not have wanted me to talk to him.”

Corey’s sacrifice for his family and martyrdom for the nation is a reminder that large portions of leftists are willing to kill to prevent Trump from winning the coming election.
