Trump Scores Another Win in Georgia

Donald Trump’s case in Georgia could be delayed even longer due to Fani Willis’ actions. Her relationship with the special prosecutor has given the impression of corruption, though it has so far not been enough to get the charges thrown out.

While his case is in full swing in New York, his federal trial in Florida has been postponed indefinitely, which means he could have two delayed trials. Politico says:

A Georgia appeals court on Wednesday delayed Donald Trump’s criminal case in that state, agreeing to hear an appeal from the former president that may foreclose a trial taking place this year.

For Trump, it’s the latest in a spate of good legal news, coming less than 24 hours after U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon indefinitely postponed his federal trial in Florida on charges of hoarding classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate after leaving office.

As the date to the election grows closer, voters will see Trump more as the current candidate than the previous president. Legal action brought on by Democrat prosecutors will only continue to feed the narrative that it is a political witch hunt intent on imprisoning him before the election. Fox News continues:

“As the case moves forward, reasonable members of the public could easily be left to wonder whether the financial exchanges have continued resulting in some form of benefit to the District Attorney, or even whether the romantic relationship has resumed.”

“Put differently, an outsider could reasonably think that the District Attorney is not exercising her independent professional judgment totally free of any compromising influences. As long as Wade remains on the case, this unnecessary perception will persist,” he said.

Most importantly, the case has shown serious overreach by Democrat DAs in Georgia. This could end up galvanizing the electorate in that state, a crucial state to win for both Trump and Biden.
